Nicholas J. Colella, Chief Technology Officer, is a pioneer and innovator
in the fields of advanced technologies and aerospace defense systems. Dr. Colella has
twenty years experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams from industry,
national laboratories and academia. He has invented, designed, developed and implemented
advanced sensors, electronics, satellites and unmanned aircraft. Dr. Colella is a founder
of nChip, Inc., a Flextronics International Company that produced state-of-the-art
electronic modules based upon multi-chip module packaging and manufacture, and is a
founder and board member of the National Robotics Engineering Consortium at Carnegie
Mellon.
Peter
H. Diamandis, Peter H. Diamandis, President, is a communications and
aerospace entrepreneur. In 1989 he founded International MicroSpace, Inc.
(IMI), a
privately
held commercial launch company which was later sold to CTA Incorporated. Dr. Diamandis was
also a Founder and Director of Constellation
Communications Incorporated (CCI), a "Big LEO" satellite constellation that
was recently awarded a 30 MHz license from the FCC for wireless telephony. Diamandis also
serves as the Founder and Chairman of the X PRIZE
Foundation, a $10M international competition for the first private passenger carrying
spaceships. He was also a Founder and Managing Director of the International Space University, a $30M international
university headquartered in Strasbourg
France. Diamandis graduated from MIT with an undergraduate and Masters degree in
Aeronautics and Astronautics. He also obtained a M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Diamandis has received numerous awards and is an active
pilot.
Doug Lockie
SVP and Founder of Endgate Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of low-cost
microwave radios and antennas. Endgate is active in designing the HALO(TM)
Network and can supply advanced microwave antennas and amplifiers.
T. Allan McArtor
Mr. McArtor is President and Chief Executive Officer of Legend Airlines, Inc. Legend is
a start-up airline to be based at Dallas Love Field and which will serve the business
traveler. Mr. McArtors career has been highlighted with leadership and senior
management positions in the military, civil, and government sectors. From 1979 to 1994,
McArtor served on the senior management team of Federal Express Corporation except for two
years (1987-89) when President Ronald Reagan appointed Mr. McArtor to serve as the
Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). McArtor returned to
FedEx in 1989 as Senior Vice President of Air Operations and was accountable for all
divisions comprising FedExs global airline. Prior to the FAA position, McArtor was
FedExs Senior Vice President for Telecommunications (domestic and international
voice and data networks, satellite systems, customer service call centers, and local area
networks). Mr. McArtor has been co-founder of a number of entrepreneurial ventures
including a digital information network, an international development company, and
aviation projects. Mr. McArtor is a 1964 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds
a Masters Degree from Arizona State University. Mr. McArtor was a highly decorated combat
fighter pilot and a pilot with the U.S. Air Force "Thunderbirds" Aerial
Demonstration Team. Mr. McArtor serves on the Board of Directors of Pilkington Aerospace,
Inc. (a manufacturer of aircraft windshields and fighter aircraft canopies) and Excel
Communications, Inc. (the fifth largest long distance company in the United States). He
has served on the boards of Learjet, Inc. and Fairchild Space and Defense Company. Mr.
McArtor serves on the boards of a number of civic, industry, charity, and educational
groups.
David Wine
Founder of Geostar, a GEO navigation/communications company and a Founder and past
president of Constellation Communication Incorporated, a big-LEO communications company.
Mr. Wine was Angel's founding Chairman of the Board.
